10 Stages with Defined Review Points
Every project begins at a different stage. Some customers have an early concept or floor plan. Others provide approved designs or production drawings. We review the available information, define the required services and approvals, and confirm the manufacturing and delivery scope before production begins.
The exact process depends on project complexity, design status, materials, quantities, destination, inspection requirements, and the responsibilities of the customer and its local contractor.
Step 1: Project Submission & Fit Review
Share the company and customer type, project location, floor plan, drawings or reference images, fixture list, quantities, store area, budget range, destination, required arrival date, and target opening date.
We review whether the project fits the confirmed product, sector, size, order-value, design, manufacturing, and delivery scope. Missing information is identified before the next stage.
Step 2: Scope &Responsibility Definition
Confirm whether the project requires store design, fixture engineering, DFM, samples, prototypes, manufacturing, inspection, packaging, freight coordination, assembly documents, or remote technical guidance.
The scope should also state who is responsible for verified site dimensions, local regulations, architecture, structure, MEP, permits, unloading, construction, and installation.
Step 3: Design or Design Review
If the customer has an early concept, the agreed scope may include layout, 3D views, fixture design, materials, finishes, and design approvals. If the customer provides an approved design or production drawings, we review the information and identify only the development or clarification required for manufacturing.
Design is a separate scoped service and is not required when complete production information is provided.
Step 4: Engineering, Materials & Quotation
Review dimensions, construction, materials, finishes, hardware, lighting, signage, assembly, packaging, quantities, manufacturability, and destination requirements. The quotation records the confirmed scope, assumptions, exclusions, responsibilities, commercial terms, and delivery basis.
Any certification, safety, electrical, or environmental requirement must be checked against the selected materials, components, destination, and current supporting documents.
Step 5: Samples, Prototypes & Approvals
The validation scope may include material samples, finish samples, component samples, prototype sections, or a complete fixture prototype. Not every project requires a full physical prototype.
The project documents should define what each sample or prototype must demonstrate, who approves it, the accepted reference, and whether later changes require a new review.
Step 6: Final Technical & Commercial Approval
Before production begins, confirm the drawing revision, materials, finishes, hardware, lighting, quantities, samples, inspection requirements, packaging method, delivery scope, commercial terms, and open decisions.
The confirmed production period is normally 25–30 days after the required drawings, materials, finishes, quantities, and commercial terms are approved. Freight time is additional. Changes after approval may affect scope, price, samples, and schedule.
Step 7: Manufacturing
Fixtures are manufactured through the applicable joinery, metalwork, glass, acrylic, stone and solid-surface integration, paint and finishing, signage, lighting, hardware, and assembly processes.
Production is managed against the approved drawings, specifications, samples, quantities, change records, and inspection requirements. The exact internal and approved supplier scope should be defined for the project where relevant.
Step 8: Quality Control & Pre-Shipment Review
The inspection scope can include incoming materials, in-process dimensions and finishes, quantities, hardware, lighting, function, assembly, and final condition. Pre-assembly, photo or video records, customer inspection, or third-party inspection can be included where appropriate and agreed.
Nonconforming items should be recorded, corrected where required, reinspected, and released according to the project acceptance process.
Step 9: Export Packaging & Delivery Coordination
Fixtures are protected, labeled, and packed according to the product, destination, installation sequence, and agreed delivery requirements. Container loading and international freight can be coordinated under the confirmed Incoterm and responsibility transfer.
Production time and freight time are separate. Customs, insurance, last-mile delivery, unloading, site storage, and local access must be assigned in the quotation or contract.
Step 10: Site Handover, Support & Repeat Production
The manufacturing scope can include assembly documents, labeled components, prepared hardware, installation-sequence packaging, and remote technical guidance. Super U Display Group does not provide on-site unloading, construction, permitting, or installation. The customer or its appointed local contractor remains responsible for site work.
Post-delivery support can include issue review, replacement components, replenishment, repeat production, and adaptation of approved systems for later stores. Materials, finish batches, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements must be reconfirmed for later orders.
